Poughkeepsie, NY- August 13, 2012- On Monday, August 12th, Vassar Brothers Medical Center celebrated its first milestone as it performed its 100th surgery at the new Dr. Daniel Z Aronzon Ambulatory Surgery Center. As an extension of the hospital’s Operating Rooms, the Ambulatory Surgery Center is fulfilling the promise of providing much-needed operating room time to surgeons, enabling Vassar Brothers to meet the growing needs of the community.
Adeline Malone of Rhinebeck had the honor of being the 100th patient. Dr. Sasha Ristic of Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County surgically repaired Ms. Malone’s two broken wrists to reach the milestone.
Patient response to the new Center has been enthusiastic. Vassar Brothers has posted a video highlighting the new center and the reactions of families of some of our youngest patients for those interested in more information. To view the video please CLICK HERE.
Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a 365-bed facility that has been serving New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887.
