Maternal Fetal Specialist

Before Health Quest's Division of Maternal Fetal Health Medicine opened in 2008, pregnant women in need of specialized care had to travel outside the region for high-quality services. Heading this full-time specialty department-the only one of its kind in the Hudson Valley is Dr. Kimberly Heller, who has been a practicing obstetrician/gynecologist since 1985. Dr. Heller is a resource for high-risk mothers as well as other practitioners needing referrals for their patients. A key component of Dr. Heller's approach is pre-conception counseling, in which she advises mothers-to-be on the level of risk, if any, during pregnancy due to their personal medical history.
