Poughkeepsie, NY- July 26, 2012 - Before you take that summer road trip, make sure your child safety seats are properly installed. Health Quest is pleased to offer two opportunities for a FREE Car Seat Safety Check and installation station. A nationally certified car seat technician will be on hand Sunday, August 12 from 11 am to 3 pm. Additional dates include September 16 and October 14 at our Taconic Crossings offices in LaGrange (1351 Route 55).

Health Quest is also pleased to be partnering with Beekman Fire Department to offer a free car seat safety seat check and installation station on the first Friday of every month at the Beekman Fire House (316 Beekman Poughquag Rd.). The next session is scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012.

Properly installed and used child safety seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants and by 54% for toddlers in passenger cars. Yet the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has estimated that close to 3 out of 4 parents do not use child restraints correctly based on the child’s age and size, vehicle specifications or other criteria.
