Rhinebeck, NY… Northern Dutchess Hospital is pleased to announce a free event for all new parents, children and parents-to-be. The Baby Care Fair, hosted by Neugarten Family Birth Center and the Northern Dutchess La Leche League, will be held on Saturday, August 7th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the NDH cafeteria conference room and surrounding outdoor picnic area.
Experts will be available for mini workshops including: birth and natural baby care, breastfeeding basics, baby wearing, nutrition for mom and baby, and the role of a Doula. There will be car seat checks throughout the day provided by the Health Quest Community Education department (weather permitting). In addition, the Baby Care Fair features NDH Birth Center class information for mom/baby exercise, pregnancy exercise, and tours of the Neugarten Family Birth Center will be offered every half hour starting at 11:00 am. The event is being held in celebration of World Breastfeeding week, August 1st-7th.
La Leche League is an international, non-profit, non-sectarian volunteer organization dedicated to providing education, information, support and encouragement to women who choose to breastfeed. LLL holds monthly meetings at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
