Dr. Mark Nogueria performed the first microsurgical vasectomy reversal utilizing the daVinci Si high definition robotic surgical system at Putnam Hospital Center earlier this month; it is the first such procedure to be performed in New York State south of Albany, including New York City.
Use of the robotic surgical system has been shown to increase fertility rates after vasectomy reversal due to its superior magnification and enhanced surgical precision.
Dr. Nogueria, who is affiliated with Mount Kisco Medical Group and based in Carmel, is the Medical Director of the Robotics Surgical Program at Putnam Hospital Center. He is fellowship trained in robotic surgery and urologic oncology.
