We're the only hospital in the Mid-Hudson Valley with a dedicated pediatric unit. Vassar Brothers has just the right place for your kids should they need us, furnished with child-size equipment and staffed with dedicated professionals specially trained in pediatric medicine. But having the region's leading pediatric staff and equipment are just the beginning of the story.

Every pediatric room at Vassar Brothers has a TV and VCR. And we have everything else needed for all children, right down to child size gowns. We even have adult-size cots so parents can sleep over.

Pediatric Same Day Surgery:

Our progressive pediatric outpatient care program means that children who need to stay for less than 24 hours get the same special care as inpatients on our pediatric unit. Pediatric Same Day Surgery patients also enjoy our Pediatric Unit.

Pediatric Specialty Center:

If your child needs specialized medical care, you'll find it right here at our John and Nancy O'Shea Pediatric Specialty Center, the only place between Albany and southern Westchester County to offer this advanced level of treatment. You'll have access to specialists in cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, and gastroenterology. All are board certified and on the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at New York Medical College in Valhalla.
